Supporting your birthing choices
Initial Meeting
This will involve meeting and getting to know each other so we can discover if we are a good fit. We explore your vision & choices for a healthy birth as well as offer any guidance that you may request. As part of the Red Tent Doulas, we have the ethos of the right doula for each mother and so can share great connections to other wonderful doulas if needed as well as other support that may be useful
Connect.
It is our preference to meet 3 times before the guess date which mostly involves sharing cups of tea, walks, stories as well as information that is helpful for your preparation. We can assist you in creating your birth plan or vision, navigating the NHS system, energy healing, womb healing, bodywork, yoga, movement, honouring mother/baby connection, birth preparation meditations and more.
Prepare.
There is a lot to be said about preparing the mind, body and soul for this transition - sometimes there is some integration needed beforehand such as ancestral, birth or sexual trauma. This can allow for you to come into deep trust in your self and your body, that all is in place for you to be prepared for your birth journey, more free from that which you do not need to carry other than your baby!
Trust.
We are fully equipped to assist with whatever arises for you in the birth space and allow for your free expression. We will be with you as long as is needed for the birth, and fully respect your needs for support or privacy. It can be helpful to know that someone is there, dedicated for you and can assist with navigating the sacred and practical needs.
Deliver.
We will be on call for 24hours per day for 28 days for your birth and cover the areas of Fife, Edinburgh and Glasgow. We will be available during that time via email or phone for any questions/sharing. Antenatal visits are preferred in person but it is possible to arrange online.
Costs
£960 Birth Support
£1360 Birth Support & Full 40 Day Post-Natal Package
I am currently Nomadic, based in Fife, Scotland or County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland
*For Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Derry & beyond I charge £15 per hour for travel.
Deposit: £300 upfront upon booking and full payment prior to 28 days on call.
