Join us for a Sunday evening retreat of
Reconnection, Restoration & Solstice Celebration
at The Hot Rocks Sauna, by the shores of Lough Neagh.
The Summer Solstice marks the celebration of the Sun at its peak.
The longest day is a time to enjoy life at its fullest and honour the full radiance of light.
New to Sauna Rituals? No Experience Needed
Whether you are a seasoned sauna-goer or this is your very first time, you are welcome here. We guide you gently through the heat, focusing on connection, song, silence, and enjoyment rather than endurance. It is a safe, supportive space to reconnect with our bodies, the land and our cultural roots.
What to Expect:
Connection to Nature; Connect to the Land & to the season with a Celtic Wheel Circle in our wooded area, with Maggie.
Ancient Tradition; Heated stones creating a deep, cleansing steam with healing waters & herbal infusions.
Guided Ritual; 2.5 hours of song, silence, and prayer led by an experienced Facilitator Tara from Solas Sauna.
Sauna by the Lough: 5 rounds of heat with refreshing breaks to enjoy fresh air, hydrate and cool off with a shower, cold plunge or a dip in the lough.
Afterglow: We finish with herbal tea and light snacks together around the Solstice Fire.
Schedule:
4-5pm Celtic Wheel Circle
You will be welcomed into the woodland with Maggie Mckeever for nature meditation, somatic movement and Celtic Wisdom.
5-7.30pm Irish Sweathouse (Tigh N’Alluis) Ritual
We are reviving an ancient tradition where stones are heated & healing waters are poured with herbal infusions to create a sacred steam, guided by Tara Muirghein from Solas Sauna
7.30-8pm Enjoy the Afterglow by the Solstice Fire
Cultivating Rest, Reflection & Community together with a cup of Herbal Tea.
